Vipp unveils the new V2 kitchen
30% stone 70% oak 100% Vipp
Vipp unveils its second kitchen design dubbed V2. Dark oak meets Jura marble in a design language that takes us from Vipp’s roots in Denmark all the way to Japan through a simple and refined aesthetic idiom.
How would a Vipp kitchen look made in natural materials? In wood? In stone? What if Vipp applied the modular system from its first kitchen, the V1, and wrapped it in mother nature’s material palette?
The result is V2, a new kitchen system where dark oak meets Jura marble – a fine grained lime-stone rich in fossils from the Germany’s Alp region – in a carefully curated interplay. Combined with carefully carved cabinets in oak sourced in Europe, the fine-grained limestone confers a new organic tactility to Vipp’s functional kitchen system.
The new V2 lends the design principles of high-quality materials and functional detailing that laid the ground for V1, the first Vipp kitchen presented 10 years ago. While stone and oak signify a new material approach, you will recognize Vipp in the use of one of our trademark materials – extruded aluminium. Rounded aluminium profiles with reeded details serve as discreet, integrated drawer and cabinet grips. Drawer constructions and interior fittings like the softly moulded silicone cutlery divider found in the V1 kitchen are repeated in the V2 kitchen.
The modularity, utilities, and building-block approach, also known from the V1, are reused in the V2 kitchen, where predefined units form either tall, wall or island modules.
Both V1 and V2 are filled with carefully considered and highly engineered details to create long-lasting tools that can be used every day for a lifetime. While our first kitchen made in steel presented a raw and refined industrial design, the V2 is crafted in wood, stone, glass and metal adding a new organic tactility and materiality to kitchen design.Morten Bo Jensen, Chief Designer at Vipp
